OK so one thing is for sure: London is certainly the most incredible city in terms of fashion and style. Nowhere else have I seen people so creative with their looks. I am lucky to be riding at the back of a motorbike through the coolest areas of London, so I get a good look at these super stylish Londoners. Even some of the cyclists manage to look super hot! I mean: studded leopard print gloves, a mirrorball helmet, a massive fluoro scarf with pom-poms the size of an orange, even a transparent dress which almost caused an accident…
However, the most stylish and brilliant flea market I have ever visited was the amazing Melrose Trading Post in LA on the corner of Fairfax and Melrose Avenue. Gorgeous furniture, sweet vintage and handmade clothes, so much jewellery I didn’t know where to look first..an inviting outdoors food area with yummy treats and a live band. Plus sooo many different things – you could spend all day here and still wouldn’t manage to see it all! Lots of people browsing, but no aggressive shoppers, just relaxed vibe and sunshine. I got a lovely vintage purse and a necklace, but would buy so much more if we were not so pressed for time. Check this out next time you go to LA – its on every Sunday:
